Escho Rune iB101

Escho presents a double concert evening with drummer and composer Rune Kielsgaard and artist/songwriter iB101. Rune Kielsgaard is an iconic figure on the Danish drum scene within everything from improvisation and avant-garde to pop and experimental post-production.

This evening, for the first time, he presents a collection of his duo and trio setups in one large work: 2 hours of fluid improvisation with punctual interruptions and long stretches.

The line-up includes Niels Kristian Eriksen (guitar), Nis Bysted (guitar), Agnete Hannibal (cello), Tettix Hexer (gamer), Troels Damgaard (guitar), Jesper Zeuthen (sax), Wiseflow (Søren Buschman and Gustav Berntsen), etc. ‍ iB101 aka irrelevantbitch101 is the playful and straightforward alias for Martin Tangsgaard. With uncompromising lyrics over lo-fi pop productions and soulful harmonizations, iB101 is a completely unique songwriter and performer who manages to mix inspiration from Nicki Minaj, Charlie XCX, The Emotions and Shania Twain in one go. The debut record "Persona Non Grata" from 2020 was described as an album that offers both dancing and a twinkle in the eye, and to the Jazz Festival he brings new material that can make even the fathers in the cars bob along.
